Regulatory Conditions

At Rydex SGI, we are dedicated to providing flexibility to all our shareholders-including unlimited trading privileges for most of our funds (see a fund's prospectus for full details). We do not permit investors to initiate trades after a fund's pricing time. On the subject of market timing, Rydex SGI's stated policy has always been to permit unlimited trading privileges, with no exchange fees, to all shareholders-not a selected few. While not immune from all the effects of active trading, the Funds' portfolios are well positioned to manage and minimize the potential negative effects associated with frequent trading and large cash flows. Funds invest each day's cash flow on a real time basis and strive to remain fully invested at all times in highly liquid securities. Funds were specifically designed to provide an array of investment tools for active investors and have successfully accommodated these active and passive investment strategies for over 10 years.

Rydex SGI follows regulatory news closely-including monitoring releases from regulators and news sources, as well as Congressional hearings. We regularly assess our practices and procedures to ensure that we maintain the flexibility that is important to our shareholders while ensuring that we remain in Compliance with any new regulatory standards. Encryption Technology

Rydex SGI policy ensures that all information traveling between our server and your browser is encrypted. The degree of encryption depends on the browser of the user. Refer to your browser version's documentation for more information regarding the encryption level it supports. The newest versions of Netscape FireFox, Internet Explorer, Chrome and Safari are downloadable via the Internet.

Each browser contains an icon describing whether the connection is secure or not. If you are using Netscape Navigator 3x, a "broken" key icon depicts an insecure connection while a "whole" key icon depicts a secure connection. FireFox, Internet Explorer, Chrome and Safari all use an "open" lock icon to depict an insecure connection and a "closed" lock icon to depict a secure connection. An additional method of determining if a page is secure is to look at the address. If the address begins with HTTPS (rather than the standard HTTP) the page is secure.

Secure Socket Layer (SSL)

Rydex SGI is currently using SSL to transmit secure documents.SSL is a Netscape developed technology that allows for the transfer of encrypted code from our server to your computer. Firewalls

For additional security, Rydex SGI has installed firewalls that filter Internet traffic preventing the unauthorized access of personal data.
